Have You Had Your Epiphany?
Good news! Officially, Christmas isn't over. So don't take your Tree down just yet. π January 6 is a commemoration of the coming of the 3 Wise Men as the first earthly manifestation of Christ to the World.
Here's how the dictionary defines Epiphany:2: an appearance or manifestation especially of a divine being
3a (1) : a usually sudden manifestation or perception of the essential nature or meaning of something (2): an intuitive grasp of reality through something (as an event) usually simple and striking (3) : an illuminating discovery, realization, or disclosureb : a revealing scene or moment
I'm liking this word!
As we begin to grasp the significant reality of Jesus Christ being made manifest to us as a simple baby in a humble stable, we see the baby born to bring us home. He came as God's rescue-mission for the world. The very name Jesus means 'God to the rescue'!
1Timothy 3:16, 6:16
"This Christian life is a great mystery, far exceeding our understanding, but some things are clear enough: He appeared in a human body, was proved right by the invisible Spirit, was seen by angels. He was proclaimed among all kinds of peoples, believed in all over the world, taken up into heavenly glory.
Our Master, Jesus Christ, is on his way. He’ll show up right on time, his arrival guaranteed by the Blessed and Undisputed Ruler, High King, High God. He’s the only one death can’t touch, his light so bright no one can get close. He’s never been seen by human eyes—human eyes can’t take him in! Honor to him, and eternal rule! Oh, yes."(The Message)
