'Nicomekl Nature Walk' Poem - Video Presentation

After I posted some reflections about a surprisingly renewing nature walk (following yet another series of medical tests), the serendipitous detour inspired me to write out my thoughts and then try creating this narrated poem. This is my first attempt at putting together poetry into a multimedia format. ...May you be inspired on your path to renewal.


My second project, upon request for something to present at a special Christmas Eve service, is entitled ‘What Child Is This?’ Feel free to share it around for the holidays!

A Very "MERRY" Christmas!

As the holiday season comes upon us, there is much exuberance in our household of 5 kids. I'd like to harness that energy somehow and share it, maybe hook them up to a generator and ... a treadmill to power the house? I'm not too far from actually considering it - they'd love it probably. With the push and pull of holiday bustle, I may not have a solution to all your energy needs, but I feel that there is a power to heartfelt laughter, not just bc. my kids bound around howling happily, but bc. A Blue Christmas?

"As soon as I saw it I knew I had to write this." My wife and I used to perform this song for Christmas parties, me doing my worst Elvis impersonation and Joy doing her doo-wops. In retrospect, I don’t know if I could sing that song at this stage of my life with the same hilarity. Some times in life are very blue. I for one don’t believe in flukey coincidence; too often in my life things co-incide (Latin: ‘fall in together’) with a real connection I only sometimes later see -- like dominos triggering a series or pattern.  I was given my favorite coffee-caramel candy at a Christmas party and today I went to stash some of it inside my leather motorbike jacket which was hung away until the riding season.
